college-employer relationships
Limited Space Available – Register Today!
Program Description
PennACE's first professional development program will provide an excellent
opportunity to experience an entertaining and insightful team-oriented
simulation. Participants will benefit from employer and career services
perspectives during this interactive seminar.
Location: Treesdale Golf and Country Club, Gibsonia, PA
Directions: http://www.treesdalegolf.com/about/directions.htm
Presenters: Davie Huddleston, Vice President of Human Resources, PNC
Financial and Barbara Juliussen, Associate Director, Career Services,
University of Pittsburgh
Davie is currently the Director of Strategic College Recruiting for PNC
Financial Services. He is responsible for directing the corporate-wide
strategic planning and implementation of the undergraduate and graduate
on-campus recruiting efforts along with managing related internship programs.
In addition to typical employer-career services connections, Davie has launched
some innovative programs that are mutually beneficial to career services and
corporate recruitment. One of his most popular programs with students is a
2-hour computer-based simulation, "Decisions, Decisions." Working with groups
of 10, Davie will take PennACE participants through his presentation and
debrief, highlighting the benefits for all constituents -- students, employers,
and career services staff.
Barbara Juliussen, associate director of career services at University of
Pittsburgh, will relate steps to developing effective employer collaborations.
Additionally, from a career services perspective, Barbara will share the
benefits of the strong partnership University of Pittsburgh has with PNC
Financial.
Decisions, Decisions is co-sponsored by PennACE and the Eastern
Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE).
